Amazfit anticipates Samsung and launches its fitness ring before the Korean giant. Amazfit Helio Ring is already available on the European market and the company that markets it, Zepp Health, has also provided bundles with three smartwatches. The availability of Samsung’s Ring is scheduled for August, at least in the USA.
These fitness rings are a recent introduction in devices dedicated to wellness, at least at a mainstream level, given that Oura products have reached the third generation already in 2021. The Oura are combined with a monthly subscription of 5.99 euros per month.
Samsung Galaxy Ring will also be compatible with other Android phones. Maybe not right away. And iPhone?

These are rings with sensors arranged in the internal band to monitor data on the user’s health, such as heart rate, blood oxygenation or sleep quality. Their declared advantage – only with regards to their ability to monitor health – is that they are more comfortable to wear than a smartwatch, especially at night.
How the Amazfit ring is made
Amazfit Helios Ring it is made externally of titanium alloy, while the internal band is made of resin. It is 8mm wide, 2.6mm thick, and has a water resistance of 10 ATM.
It connects via Bluetooth to your smartphone and interfaces with the Zepp app for Android and iOS. Charging is wireless (approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes for 100%) e the declared autonomy reaches a maximum of 4 days.
It can measure heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, stress level, monitor sleep, give information on the rest period after physical activity and on the body’s condition to be able to face another round of training. It can make predictions about your running sessions and can sync with these third-party apps: adidas Running, Strava, komoot, Relive, Google Fit and Apple Health.
Zepp ties the Amazfit Helio Ring to the combination with its smartwatches to integrate information from the two devices.
How much does it cost?
Zepp has provided three bundles for its ring: Amazfit Helio Ring + Amazfit Cheetah Pro for 449.90 euros; Amazfit Helio Ring + Amazfit T-Rex Ultra for 549.90 euros and Amazfit Helio Ring + Amazfit Falcon for 649.80 euros.
Amazfit Helio Ring can also be purchased on its own at a price of 299.99 EUR. Zepp makes it known that with the bundles the price actually drops to 149.99 euros, and that To use all the ring’s features, no monthly subscription is required.
It also informs that the initial availability includes a limited number of sizes, but further measures will be introduced in the coming weeks.
