Through an infotainment system present in the dashboard of a car, the driver has an interface on the screen similar to that present on mobile phones. Motorists are offered the possibility of controlling GPS, navigation, music (through classic streaming apps), SMS, phone calls and web searches. With the help of a Google voice assistant, whoever is driving will never have to get distracted: just use your voice to control the interface and open apps or services. After many rumors, the official announcement has arrived: version 12.2 beta for Android Auto has been launched. Despite the lack of radical changes, there are still optimizations and fixes that inevitably improve the experience. The biggest news is connected to the “Do Not Disturb” function: The motorist can have more detailed control and can tailor the settings more precisely to his needs.
Another important novelty is linked to Dark mode. This mode is significantly improved and the user will have superior night visibility, thus reducing visual fatigue. These are the two areas most affected by the updates: there will however be general improvements and bug fixes. The versions are still in a BETA phase (under development): for this reason the new features may present bugs. The 12.2 beta version of Android Auto, therefore, will be another step forward towards achieving perfection: this tool continues to be loved by motorists all over the world.
