New features for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater include new controls and a dynamic wound system

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater – that is, the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater from the Konami saga – was shown during the Xbox Games Showcase in June and left a good first impression. The trailer obviously couldn’t present every detail of the game, but fortunately the official site comes to our rescue and reveals what we can expect.

The site talks about 3D audio support, the graphic quality guaranteed byUnreal Engine 5a new damage system that modifies Snake’s clothes and the wounds on his body in real time.

The official explanation of what’s new in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

The official website reads: “The same compelling story and immersive world, but with completely new graphics and a 3D audio which enhances the jungle atmosphere.”

“Thanks to Unreal Engine 5, the expansive landscapes are rendered with cutting-edge technology. The stunning new graphics bring the wild growth of jungles, forests and swamps to life in stunning detail. The characters are rendered in such detail that facial wrinkles, pores, and even separate movements of the eyes and iris are visible, allowing for rich, emotional facial animations.”

“Players can choose a new more modern control style. These intuitive controls allow you to fully focus on the game and the immersive thrills of the survival stealth experience. You can also choose to play with a classic control style that more faithfully recreates the feel of the original game.”

“The battle damage system has been improved: the wear and tear on Snake’s clothes, as well as the bruises and bullet wounds on his body, are reflected in real time. All the wounds on his body will leave a permanent mark, telling the story of each player’s unique journey through the game.”
