Yesterday was full of news for the famous horror IP of Nightdive Studios: there has been talk, in fact, of the possible return of The Thing with a Remake long awaited by gamers. Yet, it took just over 24 hours to receive important information in this regard, because the development team has The Thing Remastered announced.
As reported by Gematsu, in fact, The Thing will return to the market through a remastering of the horror adventure published in 2002. The Thing is ready to once again be under the light of the videogame spotlight, with many new features in tow for gamers in possession of current generation platforms and beyond. “Many of us at Nightdive Studios are die-hard fans of the horror genre, so it was an incredible honor to work in the world of the iconic The Thing“, said the spokesperson of the studio that is responsible for the remastering of the game.
The Thing Remastered will be released on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC in 2024. There is no publication date for the project yet, but from the information reported online we know that it will be possible “play on the latest generation gaming devices at up to 4K resolution at 120FPS“. Among the improvements made with the remastering of The Thing are those relating to character models, textures, animations and much more. While waiting to discover all the technical innovations of the future project, we just have to receive more details from Nighdive Studios.
