Weber’s Lumin won the award Red Dot Award 2024 for the Product Design category: founded in 1955, this is one of the largest and most prestigious design competitions in the world, where more than 20,000 products from over 60 countries are subjected to examination every year.
An important milestone has therefore been achieved by the Illinois company specialized in charcoal, gas, pellet and electric barbecueswhich precisely with a model from the latter category managed to stand out in a more than crowded competition.
The Weber Luminwhich as we said is an electric barbecue 2,200 Wattsimpressed the jury due to its modern, compact and elegant silhouette, a modern and space-saving design (measures approximately 60 x 42 x 30 centimetresweighing almost 20 kilos) which makes it quite practical for use in smaller outdoor areas such as balconies and terraces.
In fact, it was created specifically for grilling in outdoor places with limited space, offering a specific choice of fuel which can make the difference even in those places where lighting a fire or other forms of grilling is not permitted.
Designed in 2023, it is capable of reaching 315°C in just a quarter of an hour, and in addition to infusing the characteristic flavor of grilled foods it can also be used for defrost foods, cook vegetables steamedfor braising sausages and keep warm cooked foods that are not consumed immediately.
It’s also pretty easy to clean because it uses a front-access grease tray, while the cooking grates are made of enamelled cast iron and can also be placed in dishwasher.
From the point of view of materials The lid is also excellent, in enamelled steel, which resists corrosion over time.

The Weber Lumin electric barbecue costs money €429 and you can also buy it on Amazon, where it is currently offered for around €350.
