Audi shows the new e-tron GT, improves in performance, autonomy and charging

Audi showed pictures of the e-tron GT, still disguised but in a version that now appears definitive. The restyle is in fact expected, especially after the “twin” Porsche Taycan has received major updates.

Given the relationship between the two cars, it is practically certain that the same innovations will arrive on the Four Rings car too. From a design point of view the car maintains its original style, with a front bumper which should have a new design, with more generous air intakes.

According to what was communicated by the company, e-tron GT will have improved suspensionto further enhance the driving dynamics, and also in this case they are thought to be the same double valve already seen on the Taycan.

For the rest, the Porsche car had received more acceleration, lowering the 0-100 times for practically all versions, both RWD and AWD, with also a Sport Chrono package, for 70 kW more power. A decent increase has also arrived for charging, which is in the best charging stations at 800 volts it reaches 320 kW of power, 50 kW more than the previous model. The platform is the same, so it is reasonable to expect the same thing for the sporty Audi.

There is also news for autonomy, for which the final approval numbers are missing, but which will certainly be higher than in the past, given that the capacity of the larger battery increases to 105 kWh, from the old 93 kWh. Charging, in ideal conditions, in 18 minutes from 10% to 80%.

We still don’t know if Audi will also list a super performance version like the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT. This car has become the most powerful for the brand, with 1,092 HPand a sprint from 0 to 100 in 2.1 seconds.
