Maneater: over 14 million copies sold for the action RPG starring a shark
Descriptive text here

Maneaterthe action RPG in which we play as a mutant shark seeking revenge, has reached and exceeded 14 million copies sold worldwide, thus proving to be a great commercial success for Tripwire Interactive.

The confirmation comes via a press release from the company announcing the appointment of Alan Wilson as new vice president. We also talk about Over 30 million copies sold for the Killing Floor franchise (but without specific data for individual games), waiting to find out more about Killing Floor 3.

What is Maneater?

By dint of mutations we will become more than simple sharks

Maneater is a single player action RPG in which we play the role of a ravenous bull shark who lives in the waters of the Gulf coast, seeking revenge after a ruthless hunter killed his mother. At the beginning we will be just puppies and we will have to survive in a ruthless world, making our way with cunning and teeth. By hunting the local fauna, including humans, we will level up and become stronger, also unlocking special abilities and perks, which will come in handy to face the shark hunters who have put a price on our heads.

14 million copies is a truly excellent achievement, especially considering that the game was made available “for free” to PlayStation Plus subscribers in January 2021 and June 2022 on the Epic Games Store. If you haven’t tried it yet, you can read our review of Maneater and take advantage of the fact that the title is currently included within the PC and Xbox Game Pass catalog.
