Juventus, via its official website, announces, with 2 separate press releases, the passage of Enzo Barrenechea e Samuel Iling all’Aston Villa: “The paths of Enzo Barrenechea and Juventus are separating. The move of the footballer born in 2001 in the Premier League to Aston Villa is official.

Having returned at the end of this season, after his loan to Frosinone in Serie A, where he played 37 times (34 in the league), the midfielder is ready to move to England for a new experience.

Raised in Newell’s Old Boys, Barrenechea joined Sion in the summer of 2019; Juventus bought him from the Swiss team in January 2020 and Enzo became an integral part of the Primavera squad first and then of the Next Gen, in which he stood out with 47 appearances and 3 goals in the three seasons played. In the 2022/2023 season he was aggregated to the First Team group, making his debut in the Champions League against PSG on 2 November 2022, an appearance to which are added 3 matches played in Serie A with the Juventus jersey.

Now a new chapter in the Argentine’s career is about to begin, we wish him good luck for his upcoming adventure.

Thanks for everything, Enzo”!

“The paths of Samuel Iling-Junior and Juventus divide after 4 years spent together: the footballer born in 2003 moves to Aston Villa.

Having arrived in Turin in September 2020 after his initial experience in the Chelsea Youth Sector, Samuel began his adventure in black and white among the ranks of the Under 19s where he spent two seasons collecting 66 appearances and 14 goals; subsequently the passage, briefly, to the Second Team with 13 games played and 5 goals scored. The time spent in Juventus Next Gen was brief because in October 2022 came the time for his debut in the First Team, at the Allianz Stadium, against Empoli: from then on, his appearances among the greatest became 45 with 2 goals (the first in May 2023 on the field of Atalanta, the second in the season just ended against Salernitana) and 4 assists (one at the “Da Luz” in Lisbon in his absolute debut in the Champions League) to his credit.

For Samuel, on the night in Rome last May, there was also the satisfaction of the first trophy won as a professional footballer with a club, with the Italian Cup raised to the sky after the victory in the final against Atalanta played from the first minute.

Now a new stage in his career, still in England.

Good luck for the future Sam”!
