Juventus, through its official website, has announced how the next edition of the Italian Super Cup will be played and which teams will take part.
Here is the club’s note:
“The Italian Super Cup will be played in the 2024/25 season again with the four-team format divided into semi-finals and final. The competition will be played in January 2025 in Saudi Arabia and will feature Juventus, Inter, Milan and Atalanta: the two finalists of Italian Cup and the first two teams of the last Serie A. Both the semi-finals and the final will not include extra time: in the event of a tie after 90 minutes the winning team will be decided by penalty shots.

As mentioned, the four teams that will compete for the trophy are: Juventus, Inter, Milan and Atalanta. It is already known what the scoreboard will be and therefore the intersections of the two semi-finals: the winner of the Italian Cup will challenge the second place in Serie A, the finalist of the national cup will instead challenge the winner of the championship. The two semi-finals will therefore be Juventus-Milan and Inter-Atalanta.”
