A sweet boredom for Max Verstappen and the Red Bulla in Spielberg. On the weekend of 2024 F1 World Championship, the Dutchman is maintaining an extraordinary performance and, after the victory in today’s Sprint Race. c‘It was the pole position for tomorrow’s GP, to reiterate the concept.
In essence, it is always the Dutchman who places his name on p.1, making an almost embarrassing difference compared to the others. Behind him were the two Britons Lando Norris (McLaren) e George Russell (McLaren). Fourth and sixth position for the Spaniard’s two Ferraris Carlos Sainz and of the Monegasque Charles Leclerc.
“Qualifying went very well. I said we needed to fix some things after the Sprint and we did. The high temperatures required interventions and the driving sensations were fantastic. I was able to attack at every corner and I’m very happy with this pole“, Verstappen commented on the spot.
In view of tomorrow’s race there could be a new confrontation with Norris, like today at the start of the Sprint, even if the speed shown by Max is a factor: “I’ll think about the GP tomorrow, today we’ll enjoy this result“, concluded the Dutchman who thus took it home the 46th pole position in carriera.
