The Kazakhstan Grand Prix and MotoGP will not meet in 2024 either. The season calendar, in any case, will remain composed of twenty races.
The 2024 MotoGP calendar continues to fail to find stability: according to what was reported by Motorsport.com, in fact, The cancellation of the Kazakhstan Grand Prix will be made official soon.
The organizational odyssey around the Sokol track continues: after the cancellation of the 2023 edition, due to the impossibility of completing the homologation work on the track in time, the GP had found a place in the 2024 calendar on the weekend of 14-16 June. The floods that hit the Asian country in spring, however, forced a postponement of the event, moved, in place of the Indian GP, to the weekend of 20-22 September.
The recurrence of some organizational problemssuch as the lack of adequate facilities around the track area and the presence of some works still pending, despite the effortseven cheap ones, lavished by Dorna will force the MotoGP promoter to definitively cancel the Kazakhstan Grand Prix from the 2024 calendar.
This will bring the number of Grand Prix events removed from what should have been the 2024 MotoGP calendar: the Sokol track will join a list already made up of the tracks of Buddh, in India, and Termas de Rio Hondo, in Argentina.

The second stage in the Middle Eastern country would find space in the calendar on the weekend of 20-22 September, the same one in which the first edition of the Kazakh GP was due to take place.
