The Tuscan will face the Russian Daria Kasatkina to hunt for a place in the third final of the season after the one won in Dubai and the one lost at Roland Garros.
Paolini was excellent in the quarter-finals against a tough opponent like the British Katie Boulter, winner of the Nottingham tournament. The Tuscan made the match her own, dominating the first set with a score of 6-1 and then closing the contest in the second with a tie-break.
The Russian tennis player, instead, put an end to the path of a rediscovered Emma Raducanu, beating the British player with a peremptory double 6-2. This is the third semifinal of the season for Kasatkina, after those won in both Charleston and Abu Dhabi.
