The management of the Rugby Carpi relies on the guidance and continuity of Ilie Ivanciuc as head coach of the first team for the next 2024/2025 season, valid for the official Serie C championship.

To complete the technical staff, he is confirmed in the role of scrum coach, Roberto Casolari. The novelty concerns the inclusion of Sam Morton as scrum and touchline technical assistant, who will monitor the first team and also the youth teams.

New goals, new challenges. After finishing last season in sixth place in the official Serie C championship, Rugby Carpi has renewed its target for the upcoming 2024/2025 season, starting in the first week of October (even if there is nothing official yet). . In the meantime, the choice remains clear: to give continuity to the sports project with Ilie Ivanciuc as head coach. Romanian born in 1971, Ivanciuc played in the 1991 and 1995 world championships as a player. In 1998 he arrived in Italy to wear the Viterbo shirt and in 2002 he arrived in Modena, immediately playing a leading role in Modena Rugby’s promotion to Serie A. From In 2006 he moved from the field to the bench. For Ivanciuc it will be the third consecutive year as coach of the Falcons first team.

Morton is a specialist, a “skills coach”, an indispensable figure in the technical staffs of national teams and professional teams in rugby today. The coach comes from the Anglo-Saxon school, formed between the Exeter Chiefs Academy and Plymouth Albion of England, where he started as scrum coach.

“I am very happy – commented Ilie Ivanciuc – to continue in this sporting project. I want to contribute as much as possible to the players in their rugby growth.
