The prologue was canceled and the first stage was also cancelled: the Tour of Veneto will try to kick off the 32nd edition today with what should have been the second stage which will take place entirely in the province of Vicenza. Here are all the details.

At 11.30 from Piazza Arturo Ferrarin in Thiene all the cyclists will leave for the 134.3 kilometers quickly. After the start, they will head towards Priabona which will also be the first chance to earn points for the climbers’ ranking jersey as it represents a second category GPM. They will continue until Castelgomberto where there will be a flying finish line and then they will move on to Montecchio Greater, Montorso, Sorio, Gambellara. You will then enter a circuit between Terossa And Roncà which at the third pass will be valid as a flying finish line before starting the climb Bolca divided halfway (a Vestenanova) representing a first category GPM at both points of the climb. They will go down to Altissimo Mill And Saint Peter Mussolino to get to the finish line I call in Via dal Maso.

The Bolca climb has tough gradients, but in favor of the runners is the fact that it is not very long. For this reason, at the finish line, completely flat after a descent, a small group of runners who have escaped from the group or the entire group could arrive. This second option is more likely to happen, because since the jerseys have been assigned in a “symbolic” way (since the prologue and stage 1 were not run), each cyclist will want to gain the first real leadership of the general classification and all the others they will want to keep close to each other to recover positions in the next few days.
Today could be the first opportunity for Edoardo Zamperini to make the tricolor shirt shine in the light of a victory. Likewise, beware of Nicolò Garibboholder of the symbolic blue jersey, and to the couple Masciarelli–Bracalente of Mbh Bank Colpack Ballan CSB.
