Mogliano Veneto Rugby announces the return of left prop Enrico Ceccato and the arrival of right prop Federico Pisani in the Serie A Elite group.
Enrico Ceccato
Enrico Ceccato was born in Treviso on 9 December 1996. Left prop, 181 cm tall. per 100kg. in weight, he started playing rugby in Silea at the age of 8, and at 12 he moved to Treviso with Benetton, where he won the Under 16 and Under 18 championships. After completing his youth career, he played in Country Rugby for two seasons. After Paese, he first arrived in Mogliano, where he remained for 2 Championships and subsequently settled in Vicenza, with Rangers, for 5 years, during which he obtained promotion to Serie A Elite.

These are the words of coach Salvatore Costanzo: “Enrico is a great guy who I met when I arrived in Mogliano. He’s a young guy, a dynamic prop who knows the game well. I have good memories of him as a person, years ago he didn’t find much space and chose to change by moving down a category. He regained promotion to the top flight with Vicenza and now he returns to us, where he already has many friends within the group and will be able to integrate quickly, we will try to put him in a position to make the most of the experiences gained in recent years.”
These are his first statements as a blue and white player: “I am happy and grateful to be here in Mogliano, I expect to find a solid group and to work hard. Last season they achieved a great result, I will try to give my best to help improve further. I meet up with my teammates and Salvo (Salvatore Costanzo), who I left behind in my first experience here, as well as other new players who I’m ready to bond with. I can’t wait to get started.”
Federico Pisani
Federico Pisani is a 113kg prop. for 182 cm. in height. He was born in Legnano on 2 January 2004 and started playing rugby at the age of 8 at the youth team of Rugby Rho, and then at 17 he moved to Verona, at their academy. He underwent a 3-year training course, arriving to play in the championship with Serie A and to participate in the commitments of the u19 and u20 national team, with which he can boast 11 caps between the World Cup, 6 Nations and test matches.

These are his first statements in blue and white: “I am very happy to be part of this team. I had been trying to make a leap to a higher level for a long time to be able to compete with athletes from a higher championship. I am sure that the choice to come to Mogliano will allow me to grow a lot.”
These are those of head coach Marco Caputo: “We are happy and welcome Federico, in him we see a player with enormous potential. Mogliano also with him, is well represented in the Under 20 national team, in particular in the front lines department. We hope our players benefit from this experience. We must not forget that our league is full of very strong, older and therefore very experienced front-line players. The challenge for me and Salvatore (Costanzo) is to prepare and develop these young players, make them strong and able to compete against any team in the Serie A Elite championship. We can’t wait for all our front row players, young and old, to start competing against each other, so that our scrum regains a reputation and respect that we can all be proud of.”
