The Olympics in France

Will be Paris to host the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad between July 26th and August 11th, celebrating the hundredth anniversary of the last time the French capital hosted the event. This is therefore the third Olympics in Paris, after those of 1900 and 1924.

And, as per tradition, the Olympic flame lit in Greece in the city of Olympia, faces a long journey to get to the brazier of the new destination, which will keep it alive for the entire duration of the competition.
The ceremony for Paris included the lighting of the Olympic fire on April 16th and the torch is still in the middle of the journey that will take it to the Opening Ceremony of the Games on July 26th.

Leclerc torchbearer

Not infrequently, among the torchbearers, i.e. the people who pass the Olympic flame from hand to hand, there are athletes or famous people. When passing through Monaco on 18 June, Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc will be the first torchbearer, in the appointment scheduled for 2.15 pm. The standard bearer of the Prancing Horse will pass the torch to skier Alexandra Coletti, who will hand it over to tennis player Xiaoxin Yang, who will give it to Rudy Rinaldi, bobsled pilot. It will be Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene who will close the passage of the Olympic fire from hand to hand through Monte Carlo.
