De Vrij and Dumfries shine in Holland’s victory

Good performance from the two Nerazzurri-owned players. Inter’s next midfielder Piotr Zielinski will also be on the pitch.

Lots of Inter in this first match of the day between Koeman’s Holland and Poland with the Lancers coming from behind to win and getting three points that are immediately important for qualifying for the Champions League round of 16. Very nice challenge, probably the best so far at Euro 2024.

Poland took the lead as they advanced with Buksa, who did well to head home the assist from Zielinski’s corner. Despite the goal conceded, the Netherlands dominated the match far and wide, the Lancers created several chances and Szczesny was probably the best on the pitch in the entire match. At the half hour mark only a deflection stops the Juventus goalkeeper and it is Gakpo (among the best on the pitch) who scores the equaliser.

Before the break Depay ate the opening goal and in the second half the Netherlands continued to attack relentlessly. Koeman implements the changes and precisely one of these, the center forward Weghorst scores the winning goal a few minutes from the end. A very important victory for the Orange.

Poland-Holland, the three Nerazzurri did well

78 minutes of play and one assist for Piotr Zielinski which alternates ups and downs, but shows flashes of his talent. Band also the two Holland defenders with Dumfries being a thorn in the opponents’ side and coming close to scoring several times and De Vrij skilled in defence, even better than his teammate Van Dijk.
