GELSENKIRCHEN (Germany) – Filip Kostic’s debut match at Euro2024 lasted just over forty minutes with his Serbia against England. In fact, the Juventus winger, shortly after an on-field spat with Bellingham, complained about a left calf problem and he was unable to tighten the tempo until half-time, a situation which would have allowed coach Stojkovic to avoid ‘wasting’ a substitution slot.
Kostic’s injury
Kostic, who had already been negative protagonist in the English lead scored in the 13th minute by Bellingham after 13′, with Saka stealing his time and offering the Real Madrid talent a ball to push into the net, he left the pitch in tears, replaced by Mladenovic. While awaiting the usual tests and official communications from the Federation of Serbia, the feeling is that the muscular problem suffered by the Juventus winger could force him to say goodbye to Euro2024 well in advance.
