In the Final A of C2 men’s 500 Gabriele Casadei and Carlo Tacchini achieve the bronze medal in 1:42.584, at 0.356 by neutral individual athletes Alexey Korovashkov and Ivan Shtyl, gold in 1:42.228, ahead of the Poles Wiktor Glazunow and Arsen Sliwinski, silver in 1:42.404, at 0.176. The Azzurri knocked the Hungarians Balazs Adolf and Jonatan Hajdu off the podium by just 0.024, fourth in 1:42.608, at 0.380.
