MotoGP, Dall’Igna: “Pramac? We have a friendship relationship, I hope he stays with Ducati”

Present in Misano for the Superbike round, Gigi Dall’Igna gave himself up to sky for a comment at the end of Race1, and some considerations regarding the latest market news in MotoGP.

“Toprak raised the level on Saturday in Misano, I must say that he was very good. We achieved a double podium, but obviously we are not satisfied, we will have to try to do more in the next race. The track conditions were certainly different compared to to yesterday so we will have to try to evaluate some changes.”

What do you think of the work that the Ducati guys do in Superbike?
“I’m very happy, it’s clear, we were leading the standings before today’s race, both the technicians and the drivers are doing an excellent job.”

Since the announcement of the signing of Marc in the official team there have been other market news. Not only Aprilia with Martin, but KTM also moved forcefully, bringing both Bastianini and Vinales to Hervè Poncharal’s team. It won’t be easy next year.
“We expected it and we knew what moves our rivals would make, they were obvious choices. It certainly won’t be easy and our opponents have strengthened, but as always it will be a question of having to work even harder.”

What do you think KTM and Aprilia will work on thanks to the valuable information that Bastianini and Martin will bring?
“As I have always said, in the end it is more the technicians who bring the information, the riders can obviously bring their feedback but it is difficult for them to bring technical secrets”.

Another important issue will be to discover the outcome of the choice of the Pramac team, for a long time Ducati’s partner but apparently increasingly closer to Yamaha.
“I have no news regarding the issue, but it is clear that we are at the last stages because the time to make decisions is running out. The solution is clearly not in our hands so we will have to do nothing but wait. With Pramac there is a historicity, we have worked a lot together and there is a friendship that binds us, so I hope that Campinoti will make the decision to stay with us.”
