Not only the Italian press was present at Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s press conference. There is also a Swedish share, represented by my colleague Nicole Amiri. Collaborator of newspapers such as Aftonbladet, the TV4 channel and the national radio SR, she gave us her point of view from Scandinavia on the new role of Ibra himself and on the Milan to come:
Are you surprised by Fonseca’s choice as coach? Is it an “Ibra” profile?
“I must say that yes, the choice of Fonseca was a surprise to us too. Perhaps he is not an Ibra-like profile, as Antonio Conte or Carlo Ancelotti could have been. His speech at the press conference made us understand that perhaps he has no power 100% decision-making, let’s say, he was sincere, he said that they have to work with the material they have and that with this team the right coach is someone like Fonseca. The Swedes remember the Portuguese coach from his time at Roma, so they think too that with a similar choice this is a 4th place Milan. But we saw that Milan was able to win the scudetto even if on paper it wasn’t the strongest team.”
