Carlos Alcaraz, at just 21 years old, is already a real money machine and the title won at Roland Garros has only further enriched his already well-stocked bank account. But the surprises don’t end there: the world number two could be about to sign one of the most important contracts in the history of tennis and, by far, the largest recently.

According to the latest rumours, Nike and Carlitos are preparing to sign a contract renewal which, although all the details have not yet been defined, includes impressive figures to say the least. The sportswear giant he is reportedly preparing a 10-12 year deal for Alcaraz, with the young Spaniard receiving between 15 and 20 million euros per year. But that is not all.
On the negotiating table there would also be the creation of a new Alcaraz/Nike logo, along the lines of what already happens with Rafa Nadal and what happened, for example, with Roger Federer in the period in which he represented the brand. The coming times promise new things, but one thing is certain: (a lot, a lot) of money is about to enter the pockets of the champion of three Grand Slam titles.

Alcaraz, with his young age and talent, represents the present and future of world tennis. His meteoric rise, crowned by prestigious successes such as the US Open 2022, Wimbledon 2023 and, most recently, Roland Garros 2024, has made him one of the most attractive faces for sponsors. Nike, which has always focused on the most charismatic and successful champions, seems intent on a long-term bond with the Murcia phenomenon, investing staggering sums in him.

If the deal were to materialize under the leaked terms, Alcaraz would become one of the highest-paid athletes in the world, with a sponsorship deal that would propel him into the Olympus of global sports stars. An extraordinary achievement for a boy who, only a few years ago, took his first steps on the professional circuit and who today is already projected towards a legendary career.
All we have to do is wait for the next few weeks to understand if the rumors are confirmed and if Carlos Alcaraz will officially become the new King Midas of tennis, capable of turning everything he touches into gold, on and off the court.
