Dto seven-a-side football to beach volleyball, everything is ready for the 9th edition of Never Give Up, the memorial dedicated to Nicola Ussia which will be held at the La Stalla social center on Saturday 15 June.
Five teams will participate in the football tournament and the first matches will start at 9 in the morning and will be played simultaneously on two fields. In the afternoon, however, there will be the semi-finals, the final for third and fourth place and the grand final. Also in the afternoon, around 2pm, the beach volleyball tournament will also start. «This year we managed to gather the support of numerous sponsors even outside Imola thanks to the collaboration of the Via Angiolina association – says Antonio Ussia, organizer of Never give up -. This is an association that was formed during the flood. We met just last year and this is the first real collaboration of a partnership that we are trying to carry forward. All the proceeds will be used to purchase two defibrillators: one will go to Campi Bisenzio, while the other in the historic center of a city in the Imola area. Our goal is to be able to make the countries we care about most safe. Imola is already quite covered, other cities however need it. I was contacted by the sister of the boy who had a heart attack during a match at the beginning of March in Sasso Morelli and was saved by one of our defibrillators. The two brothers will be present at the tournament and I am pleased that more and more people are taking us as a reference when it comes to the prevention of cardiovascular diseases.”
