Thanks to this result, the Italian has already gained 100 precious points (he discards 10) for his ranking with the aim of showing up at Wimbledon among the 32 seeds. In reality the native of Carrara born in 2002 it is currently stable in 30th position (with 1380 points), but by winning the Italian derby against Matteo Berrettini he would jump to 28th place, surpassing Mariano Navone and Frances Tiafoe with 1445 points.
28th place cannot be improved even with the conquest of the title, which would however take him to 1530 ATP points, getting closer to those ahead of him. In any case, about two weeks after the Championships draw, Musetti should have already managed to build a small important safety cushion to defend a place among the top seeds.
