TOWe have the habit – or the habit if you prefer – of going to the manufacturers’ websites primarily to dream about the latest news as well as naturally to check for any ongoing promotions, news or events. So, as usual, we leaf through the Suzuki catalog and… we’re shocked: what happened to them GSX-R1000?
Goodbye to Japan too
Land GSX-R have already disappeared from Suzuki’s European basket for a while but the Millone still resisted in Japan. After forty years of a glorious career, however, the moment of farewell has arrived and one of the iconic models in the history of the company – but we can say of all Japanese motorcycle production – now appears to be “out of production”. Of course, it shouldn’t be a big surprise, but it still had a bit of an effect. Here in Europe it has been no longer possible to buy since 2023 (unless examples are already present in dealerships), but knowing that the GSX-R1000 joins that group of models that we probably won’t see (and we will drive! sigh!) it saddens us.
