Saturday 22 June will start from Milano Marittima second edition of the Vittoria for Women Tour Of beach rugby, the initiative by Vittoria Assicurazioni in collaboration with the Specchio dei Tempi Foundation and the Italian Rugby Federation (FIR) which unites the world of the oval ball and an important campaign to fight and prevent breast cancer. As already happened on the occasion of the 2024 Women’s Six Nations match between Italy and Scotland, the VittoriaBusa traveling information and prevention center within which it will be possible to carry out a free breast examination. At the same time, the best beach rugby teams in Italy they will compete to conquer the Italian title 2024held by Crazy Crabs for the men’s category and by Le Spavalde for the women’s category.
Vittoria for Women Tour: the project and the stages

The claim that will accompany the entire Vittoria for Women Tour will be: “Prevention for women is our goal”, with the aim of raising awareness and making both women and men more aware and informed of the inestimable value of prevention for themselves and for the people around them. Space, obviously, also for lots of healthy funwith the spectacle of rugby and more: games, fun and obviously lots of sport, with two days of tournament which will allow everyone not only to enjoy the matches of the Italian Beach Rugby Trophy. There will also be some activities that will serve to learn the techniques of rugby and the values that characterize it, for a truly unique gaming experience. Furthermore, it will be possible to test an innovative Digital Health solution developed by How are you in collaboration with the De Pasquale Group. This is an application will allow them to monitor the most important vital parameters and receive the outcome of the check up directly on your smartphone. These are the six stages of the Vittoria For Women Tour.
The great results of 2023

The hope is to replicate, and perhaps surpass, the important goals achieved during the 2023 edition, during which 1048 breast visits (964 women and 84 men) and 31 suspected cases were detected for which immediate diagnostic investigation was recommended. Furthermore, €15,000 was raised thanks to fundraisingto which were added the €4,500 raised during the Victory for Women Runthe annual company race which, since last year, has been open to the entire city of Milan to continue the awareness-raising action towards the prevention of female oncological diseases.

On the eve of such an important project, the general director of Vittoria Assicurazioni also spoke, Matteo Camparer: “The message we have launched needs to be reiterated and pursued over time to settle. For this reason and for extraordinary human return that we have received, we are proud to carry forward the commitment made last year by inaugurating this second edition of the Tour. Just as the oval ball must be defended to reach the goal, our health must therefore also be protected, through prevention, to reach as many destinations as possible.” Important words also came from FIR President Marzio Innocenti: “The development of gaming in all its forms is at the center of our vision and our strategies, as is contributing in a concrete way to the demands of civil society. The link between beach rugby and female cancer prevention fits perfectly into this context, allowing us to bring an alternative form of rugby, increasingly participatory and attractive, to an increasingly wider audience while at the same time raising awareness among our athletes, our clubs and our fans of the importance of prevention”.
