The Finals of the 2023/2024 Italian Beach Volleyball Championship for Clubs concluded last weekend in Bibione (Venice). A record weekend for this important event, an event that officially raised the curtain on the 2024 summer of this discipline with 1270 athletes, 1370 matches played, 66 match officials and 94 pitches used. In the final victories there was also a good representation from Treviso, specifically if we delve deeper into the triumph relating to the women’s Under 20 category.

The title of Italian champions was in fact won by Maira Granziol, originally from San Vendemiano, and Emma Da Re who studied and grew up in Vittorio Veneto. A couple who made sparks, playing the matches on behalf of Beach Volley Padova. A tasty appetizer to what would have been the grand finale occurred at the debut, when the two girls outclassed Cremonarena with truly impressive partials. The supremacy in the following match against Beach Volley Training was even clearer. The trio came against Beach Volley Academy, then Beach Volley Training was defeated again in two sets.

The hard-fought semi-final which saw Maira and Emma challenge the Orbite Volley couple provided a never-ending spectacle, rewarding the two girls from Treviso and therefore the doors to the final were opened wide. The eagerly awaited match with I Follow Beach Volley saw the new Italian Under 20 champions prevail 2-1. A more than deserved success which confirms the growth of these two athletes, as well as an undeniable pride for two Treviso cities which are just 12 kilometers apart and which are destined to be increasingly united by beach volleyball.
