CISTERNA, THE JAPANESE YUGA TARUMI ARRIVES – Laziotv

The Japanese spiker Yuga Tarumi is a new player for Cisterna Volley and will be at the start of the next Super League season. The Japanese hammer, in his first season in the Italian championship, is 187 centimeters tall and comes from the Panasonic Panthers, the team with which he achieved second place in the Japan SV.League (the A1 series of the Rising Sun) in the season just ended led by coach Laurent Tillie and had finished third in the previous tournament. Yuga Tarumi will be part of the battery of spikers that coach Guillermo Falasca will have available for the Super League championship which also includes Jordi Ramon, Efe Bayram and Willner Rivas. This is the second Japanese volleyball player to arrive in the province of Latina after Yuki Ishikawa who played in Pontine from 2016 to 2018.

For Tarumi this is the first time away from Japan where, before his experience among the panthers of the Panasonic Panthers, one of the most ambitious and strongest teams in Japan, he had played in the reference teams of his high school and his university: first in high school Rakunan and then in the University of Tsukuba. Cisterna volleyball therefore continues in the composition of the staff for next season and, unlike many other teams, is focusing on the basis of last season with targeted additions. In short, we tried to give confidence to the group that played in the 2023/2024 championship with the hope that next year we can correct some aspects that affected the championship and perhaps reach the play offs.
