Givova Scafati is pleased to announce its new sporting director. This is Eugenio Agostinelli, coming from Tezenis Verona (A2 series), a company with which he has worked continuously from 2019 until today, first as club manager and then as sporting director, who signed a two-year contract. «I am very happy with Scafati’s call, and with the trust placed in me in particular by patron Longobardi. The possibility of working in the top flight is a source of pride for me and a great challenge at the same time. In an increasingly competitive Serie A and with the arrival of newly promoted teams with great ambitions, we have the obligation to fight to keep the category in a historic place like ours. We have all the credentials to be able to do a good job.”
The carreer – Born in Jesi in 1995, Eugenio Agostinelli took his first steps in the world of basketball at Aurora Basket Jesi: after completing his entire career in the youth sector of the Marche club as a player, he began his experience within the club by becoming an assistant company press. His great passion for basketball subsequently led him to take on the role of organizational manager of the youth sector.
Precisely at Tezenis Verona (with which he won the 2021/2022 A2 series championship, in which his team was promoted to the top series together with Givova Scafati) he has already worked alongside the general manager from Scafati Alessandro Giuliani, providing a precious contribution in the field of scouting both in the senior world, in the American and European world, and in the youth world.
