Excellent performance by the Under 13s led by coach Bombino: the boys participated in the regional finals in Vercelli, taking tenth place.
In the morning round the Alba team immediately achieved a 2-1 victory against Alto Canavese, then a 2-0 defeat against Pavic (who finished third), and finally a 2-0 victory over PVL. It seemed like we were ready to move on to the final 8, but unfortunately Alto Canavese beat Pavic 2-1 in the last match, condemning us to third place in the group due to set difference.
Our boys then go on to compete in the 9th-12th place phase, immediately encountering the Cuneo Volley team they have already faced several times this season. With a great performance we won 2-0, earning the final 9th-10th place where, however, Novi prevailed, also thanks to the tiredness of the previous match.
Coach Bombino is obviously satisfied with this regional top 10, and also with the excellent growth of the boys highlighted by the victory over Cuneo, which allowed us to be the second strongest among the four participating Cuneo teams.
At the end of the long day, cup and medals for our boys: Edoardo Cannella, Cristian Craveri, Gioele Notorio and Andrea Turkaj.
