Great success for the fifth edition of the “Epochal Gathering” of Ravenna volleyball, open to players from the past and present, took place at Bagno MARINAMORE in Marina di Ravenna on Friday 7 June. An absolute novelty was the opening to women’s volleyball, which brought the number of attendances close to the record figure of 400.
“The photographer Daniele Ricci captured the aerial shot that gathered all the participants. An enormous orange wave (the color chosen for this edition) and happy, in the fascinating background of the sunset on the beach – say the organizers -. Then there is room for a parade of 30 award winners, introduced at the microphone by Marco Ortolani, chosen not only from among the many super-champions (two names for example: the reunion of the foreign tandem of the late 80s composed of the Russian Pancenko and the Croatian Causevic) and super champions, but also among coaches, referees, managers, masseurs, journalists and even among secondary players, appreciated for their friendliness or commitment”.

The evening also yielded a nice sum donated to the “Bagherpersempre” association and its programs to support young athletes in difficulty.
