Dauphiné, Roglic wins uphill ahead of Ciccone. Evenepoel detached

After the beatings, Primoz Roglic leaves his mark on the Dauphiné. And it is a profound sign: the Slovenian won the sixth stage, with an uphill finish in Le Collet d’Allevard, and is the new leader of the general classification. The only one to resist the forcing of the Bora on the last climb was excellent Giulio Ciccone, 2nd at the finish line, 3” behind Roglic. Carlos Rodriguez is further behind (at 22”) and above all Remco Evenepoel (8° at 42”). Roglic now leads the overall with 19″ on Evenepoel and above all he has demonstrated excellent condition three weeks before the start of the Tour de France. Just like Ciccone, polka dot jersey in the last edition and last Italian yellow jersey (it was 2019), never in difficulty in the final, even if in the Vlasov-Roglic grip. More worrying was Evenepoel’s face upon arrival and the plaster that the former world champion wore on his right knee. At the end of the Dauphiné now two stages, both full of climbs: on Saturday the arrival in Samoens, on Sunday the grand finale on the dirt road of the Plateau de Glières.
