Macerata brings Camilla Sanguigni to A2

MACERATED-Camilla Sanguigni moves up from B1, where she played in Arzano, called to A2 by Balducci Macerata. The Terracinese spiker, born in 2001 and 177 centimeters tall, is the seventh new face of the Orange team.

A addition that will guarantee great technical quality and a lot of determination and which will complete the spiker department, already made up of the confirmed Alessia Fiesoli and the newly arrived Valeria Battista and Daniela Bulaich. Furthermore, the signing of Sangugni completes the Orange roster for next season: the volleyball-market phase therefore closes for the CBF Balducci HR 2024/25 which will be made up of 13 players (7 new arrivals and 6 confirmations).

THE CARREER-

Camilla Sanguigni, in addition to the season just concluded in B1 in Arzano, can boast experiences in Serie B1 with P2P Baronissi (2022/23) and Olimpia San Salvatore Telesino (2021/22), the latter team with which she also gained promotion from B2 to B1 in 2020/21. The new orange spiker, after taking her first steps in the world of volleyball with Futura Terracina ’92, continued her growth path with the prestigious youth sector of Anderlini Modena with which she played in the Under 16 and 18 national finals and also played in Serie B2 in the 2018/19 season.

Not just volleyball for Camilla Sanguigni: the new CBF Balducci HR player is also a beach volleyball specialist, a sport she has been practicing at the highest national levels since 2021. In this summer season she will take part in the Italian Championship for Gold Clubs (underway right now in Bibione) and at the various stages of the Italian Absolute Championship which will then experience the final act in the Finals from 6 to 8 September in Bellaria-Igea Marina.

The words of Camilla Sanguigni-

« I chose the CBF Balducci HR Macerata because it immediately made an excellent impression on me. The first person I spoke to was coach Valerio Lionetti, who explained the project to me and immediately gave me a lot of confidence. Furthermore, the company is very well known in the world of volleyball and well known above all for its professionalism and seriousness, so the choice was almost spontaneous. It is my first season in Serie A2 and everything will be new for me, I am very excited and at the same time curious to be able to compare myself with players and coaches who have been playing in this category for years. The project is ambitious and my personal goal is to grow, learn as much as possible, and to be ready at any time to give my contribution to the team. From beach volleyball, which is a very tiring sport on a physical and mental level, I bring this baggage: it teaches you to be patient, to maintain concentration and above all to manage stress. These are characteristics that certainly help a lot indoors, both in training and in matches.”
