Max Verstappen speaks Dutch and English perfectly. Apparently he has begun to express himself, decently, in Italian too.
Max Verstappen has become the cover face of F1 when he dethroned Lewis Hamilton after 4 titles in a row. The latter was beaten on the last lap of the last Grand Prix in 2021. In the final round in Abu Dhabi the son of Jos had the ability to unleash the decisive attack to win the world crown, taking advantage of the Latifi’s crash and the decision of the former race director, Michael Masi.
His first world championship recognition was much debated. He proved to be glacial in the decisive moment and did not demerit the first prize. Many in the Paddock don’t like Max very much. A story that involved all the great champions in the history of the circus. Fernando Alonso was the most targeted for his biting personality, but Prost and Piquet were no different at the time. Kaiser Schumacher, upon arrival in Maranello, was opposed by the fans.
Furthermore, Vettel and Hamilton were seen as enemies before signing for Ferrari. Not even Ayrton Senna managed to get everyone to agree. Max Verstappen is the prototype of a modern driver with a reputation as an infallible killer. In his early career he was much criticized for his driving style. It was not free from errors and very hard entries. Over time he has grown in managing the entire race weekend, limiting errors to a minimum. The latest occurred at the Monaco Grand Prix.
Verstappen’s Italian salute
Max, who grew up across the border in the Netherlands, always competed under the Dutch flag like his father but moved to Monaco at the age of 18. He also expresses himself perfectly in English. He doesn’t particularly like spending a lot of time with the microphone and talking to journalists. It doesn’t matter whether he just won a race or celebrated a World ChampionshipVerstappen is an old school driver.
SuperMax certainly has a modern approach to sim-racing. He loves spending hours and hours on the simulator practicing driving techniques. In online challenges he finds great enthusiasm and an unsurprising concentration.
Every now and then he also manages to have fun and express himself in Italian. Max’s dialogue in the video shown on the Fuori.pista IG page is worth enjoying. The three-time Red Bull Racing world champion also demonstrated that he has a decent Italian accent.
