Givova Scafati announces that the technical staff for the next 2024/2025 competitive season will also include the physical trainer Elia Confessore. He returned to the Gialloblù staff last March in the role of external consultant, after having held the role of physical trainer for three seasons in a row (from 2020 to 2023), proving to be a precious piece of the Gialloblù puzzle for the achievement of prestigious results, such as the Serie A2 Super Cup in 2020, as well as the promotion and then the subsequent stay in the top flight.
Graduated in Sports Sciences and in Sciences and Techniques of preventive and adapted activities at the University of Cassino, basic coach and physical trainer for the Fip, Elia Confessore had an important history as a player, playing the role of center (203 cm tall) in the minor leagues of Campania and beyond.
In the role of physical trainer he has instead established important collaborations with numerous clubs, including Azzurro Napoli Basket, JuveCaserta, the National Teams Sector and Treofan Battipaglia (with the role of manager of the athletic area of the orange and white teams playing in the A1 Women’s championship and Serie B Male), while in 2019/2020, before settling for three years on the banks of the Sarno river, he carried out the same role with Virtus Arechi Salerno (series B). During his stay in the gialloblù, in March 2022, he also held the role of physical trainer of the Italian Under 18 men’s national team, confirming the professionalism, competence and dedication of Elia Confessore (who, among other things, is a national trainer and responsible for the physical trainers of Campania) for a job that requires continuous updating and sacrifices.

So, after a year in which, for personal reasons, I did not hold the role of physical trainer, I dive headlong into this adventure again. I want to thank the Longobardi family for their renewed trust, which I will try to repay by putting, as always, maximum commitment and dedication to the work, with the aim of working closely with the head coach and all the technical and medical staff, so that the next season can be a harbinger of results and satisfaction.”
