Andrea Vavassoripaired with the Russian Liudmila Samsonovaafter reaching the third round in the men’s doubles with Simone Bolelli, hits eighth in mixed doubles: beaten the duo composed of Russian Veronika Kudermetova and Indian Rohan Bopanna with a double 6-2 in just 50 minutes of game. Due to the strong delay accumulated by the program in recent days, the Italian and the Russian will have to wait to know the name of their next opponents.
In the first set Vavassori and Samsonova realized the first opportunity to extend their lead and at the decisive point of the fourth game they took the lead 3-1. In the sixth game another break arrives, this time at thirty, and so Vavassori and Samsonova in the following game get four consecutive set points at 40-0, but they don’t take advantage of them, losing the serve at the decisive point. The Italian and the Russian earn three more set points in the eighth game, taking the lead to 15-40 in response, and the last one, the seventh overall, is the good one: the closure comes on the deciding point at 6-2 after 24′.
In the second game Vavassori and Samsonova immediately ran away thanks to the break hit at thirty in the second game, and then went up to a comfortable 3-0. The blue and the Russian maintain the lead without any particular worries, then the decisive push comes in the eighth game, when Vavassori and Samsonova reach 15-40 in response and on the second match point they close again at 6-2 in 26 minutes.
