The third and final test match of the 2024 Autumn Nations Series between Italy and the All Blacks will be played in Turin. An official statement is still missing, as is the case for the other two locations, but it was made known by a more than authoritative source. In fact, the Federal President Marzio Innocenti, during an interview given to Rai between the first and second half of the final of the Serie A Elite championship, stated that Italy’s autumn test matches will be played in Udine, Genoa and, indeed, , Turin.

The last match played by the Azzurri in the Piedmontese capital dates back to 2015 when, on 22 August, at the Olympic Stadium, Italy faced Scotland in the first warm up test ahead of the English Rugby World Cup.

If we now know that the test between Italy and New Zealand will be played in the evening – the kick-off is in fact at 9.10 pm as communicated by Six Nations which organizes the Autumn Nations Series calendar – and that the designated city is Turin, it still remains to be understand whether the stadium will once again be the “Olimpico Grande Torino” which however has a capacity of only 28,000 seats, a little low for the All Blacks, or the more modern and capacious “Allianz Stadium” owned by Juventus which could instead hosting over 41,000 spectators.

While waiting for official communications from the Federation, hoping to see rugby in the most modern stadium in Italy costs nothing.

As regards the other two matches, as we have already had the opportunity to anticipate, the venues for Italy’s other two matches in the Autumn Nations Series will be the Friuli Stadium in Udine (now titled “Bluenergy Stadium”) which will host Italy-Argentina on Saturday 9 November and the Luigi Ferraris in Genoa where Italy-Georgia will be played on Sunday 17 November.
