In Foen (BL), where the title of Veneto Regional Champion of the category was up for grabs, excellently organized by UC Foen of president Alex Turrin and the indestructible Alfonso Scopel, the boys of Borgo Molino Vigna Fiorita, directed by Andrea, were celebrating Toffoli, who ran perfectly, taking part in all the escape attempts.

Matteo Rossetto made the difference: the young representative of Borgo Molino Vigna Fiorita took advantage of his climbing qualities to force the pace in the last climb up the Cart climb, flying towards the finish line in the company of Patrik Pezzo Rosola (Ausonia) .
The two went in mutual agreement, resisting the pursuit of their opponents and going for broke on the final straight: there Rossetto was good at anticipating his opponent and crossing the finish line first with a powerful progression that allowed him also delivered the satisfaction of wearing the red jersey of Veneto Regional Champion.
After Luca Vaccher’s success in San Michele di Feletto among the juniors, this is the second regional title of this 2024 for Borgo Molino Vigna Fiorita.
“When we went on the run I didn’t think I could get to the finish line but then as the kilometers passed I understood that this could be the right action and I pushed as hard as I could. I am very happy, I dedicate this victory to my parents, my grandparents, my sporting directors and my teammates who were fantastic today too.” has explained Matteo Rossetto after the finish line.
Smile on the lips too Andrea Toffoli: “Even today we made our team play count. Perhaps everyone’s eyes were on Campagnolo and, even though we didn’t have Benozzato available due to the flu, the rest of the team rode great. First Zanandrea and then Rossetto went on the attack and deserved this success. Before the start I told the guys that our real season was starting today, I’d say it started in the best way possible.”
