Great success for the Monferrato Tournament named in memory of Christian Cataldo, an event organized at the Cittadella del Rugby which involved the Under 8, 10 and 12 categories. Five participating clubs among which Toulon stands out, a renowned transalpine team which took part in the event with enthusiasm thanks to the excellent relationships with Alex Lacatus, Munfrà’s reference point for years. At the start, in addition to Monferrato, also the Western Provinces, the CUS Milan and the ASR Milan.
More than 200 young athletes on the field: “A great joy to see so many kids treading the Lungotanaro pitch in an event possible thanks to the work of all the souls of the Club and the support of Thaka Tani and Thaka Mami – states the president Roberto Robella – We hope that this edition is the first of a long series”. The day continued with the third time and the pizza round.
Present at the awards ceremony were Massimo Cataldo, Doctor Strozzi from the pediatric department who collaborated with Thaka Tani for a series of solidarity initiatives, and Debora Biglia representing the Municipality of Asti. At the level of sports reporting, less preponderant than the purpose of the event where fun for many young people was the priority, Western Provinces winning in the U8, Toulon in the other two categories
