The victory isn’t there yet, but Enea Bastianini he gave himself one Sunday to remember at Mugello. The Beast collected a second place finish which at a certain point seemed impossible. Instead, after being passed by Marc Marquez and slipping to fourth place, the Ducati rider with a future in the balance gave a spectacular reaction, first overtaking the Spaniard from the Gresini team and then mocking Jorge Martin on the last lap.
A significant one-twogiven that it was foisted on the two riders who are the main candidates to ‘steal’ his saddle in 2025. The serenity of the third podium achieved in the season pushed Bastianini to delve a little deeper into the difficulties that have affected him in recent weekends. The rider from Rimini did not want to go into detail, but sent a clear message to Borgo Panigale: There were also mistakes on the part of the team.

“I made some mistakes and the team made some too – declared the Beast in the press conference – but this is a wonderful day. I’m happy and I don’t want to think about the future”.
