The fantastic Italian GP race is coming to an end; the 7th round of the world championship saw him on the podium three Ducati riders with Pecco Bagnaia in front of everyone, ahead of an incredible Enea Bastianini and Jorge Martin. Mugello therefore saw both home riders dressed in blue like the national team on the podium. Here are the statements of the three drivers at the end of the Grand Prix on June 2nd.

“I’m a bit frustrated with the last lap, we made a big improvement, I was able to keep up with the incredible pace of Pecco who was setting a record lap after lap and in the end I thought I could even attack him to take the victory, I was attacking him though then I saw that I was too hard at the limit so I waited for that last lap. I’m frustrated with myself because I couldn’t close that last line and Enea passed me but it’s a podium after such a difficult and crucial weekend. Now let’s rest for a moment to return stronger to Assen.” – Jorge Martin
“It’s incredible after such a difficult period. Something was wrong but we solved the problem and pushed really hard today, like a bastard. In any case, I can be really happy. I really slept towards the middle of the race but afterwards when Marc overtook me I understood that it was time to push and I had to recover. During the last lap I saw Jorge who was really close to me so I said to myself: ok it’s also possible to get second. So I overtook him on the last corner and I’m really very grateful and happy.” – Enea Bastianini
“It’s incredible, it wasn’t easy to start from 5th place but then I chose the strategy of going to the outside and it worked completely, then I started pushing. It wasn’t easy because it was difficult to manage the rear tire because I was pushing so hard on the front. Winning today after a weekend like this is fantastic. I love these people, it’s incredible. I am also very happy for Enea who did an excellent job. Thanks Mugello, fantastic.” – Francesco Bagnaia
