Formula 1, Monaco GP 2024: Leclerc wins

A Leclerc perfect on Ferrari n°16 wins the Monaco GP 2024 Of Formula 1. After yesterday’s pole position, the Monegasque was the author of a flawless race, conducted with just one stint of tyres. Second place for Plateson McLaren which precedes the other Ferrari of Sainz. There was no miracle for the Red Bulls, with Perez who was rammed by Magnussen after a few meters, and Verstappen who was unable to go beyond sixth place, finishing more than 13 seconds behind the Ferrari driver. In short, Red Bull is beatable.

With this victory the Ferrari approaches the Red Bull in the constructors’ classification, rising to altitude 252 points against i 276 of the English team. In the drivers’ standings, Leclerc remains stable in second place with 138 points, while Verstappen remains first with 169 points.

The race had a very hectic start, with Leclerc and Piastri starting without a hitch, while Sainz immediately stopped due to a tire puncture following contact with Piastri. The stop benefits Sainz who was able to restart from third position as the first lap had not yet been completed. In the first laps Leclerc showed complete control of the race, keeping Piastri and Sainz at a safe distance.
