L’AQUILA – “Each project can arise from a need, from a perspective, from a dream or, more simply, from an evaluation that each of us wants and can make to improve ourselves or improve our present with a view to future development . Three years ago, when we presented La Rugby L’Aquila, a growth path was set out which included some short and medium term steps and others of broader scope, always respecting the physiological and virtuous development of the Club”.

This is what we read in a note from La Rugby L’Aquila at the end of the presentation of the “L’A neXt Generation” project which was held this morning at the Tommaso Fattori Stadium, in the regional capital.

“The first point has always been – it is explained – the redevelopment of the Fattori Stadium to make it welcoming and to bring it back to being the ‘home’ not only of L’Aquila rugby but of the entire rugby movement: it is evident and tangible how, thanks to the commitment carried out through important investments in the structure and on the pitch, the Fattori has returned to being a welcoming place capable of hosting events of local, national and international importance. The above is only the beginning of what Fattori could become with the “energy community project” and with the project financing presented in September and still in the implementation phase”.

“At the second point, we could also define it as a ‘first point bis’, we have focused our attention on a medium-long term sports project which envisages, without forcing, the valorisation of young people from L’Aquila and beyond and the achievement of Serie A within five years. To date we can say that we are very happy to have anticipated the times but we are equally aware that what we have done is only the beginning of a long journey that will lead us to the need to increasingly increase our skills in order to allow children to grow properly. sporting and personal”.

“In light of the above, we want to underline that there will be no upheavals in our project, we will not try to bite off more than we can chew, we will continue with patience and discipline to put the children’s growth path at the center of our attention.

“’The A neXt Generation’ will be an incubator for us towards which we will channel an important part of our attention: it was born from the collaborative comparison that was created with Rugby Experience L’Aquila and from the need of both to offer their members, and anyone who would like to become part of it, a growth path based on a more widespread and content-rich training, not only in sports, for the development and implementation of the skills and needs of athletes and all the figures that revolve around a sports club.”

“For the launch of this important project which we would like to point out is aimed primarily at our children but also open to athletes from the entire territory of central and southern Italy, we have chosen Umberto Casellato, a professional with high skills who will take care of the coordination and 360° training of the sports figures involved. He was one of the first to support the newly formed LA RUGBY and immediately embraced our idea and our project.”

“During today’s press conference the coach from Treviso, recalling his bond with our City (starting with some defeats suffered on the Fattori lawn) said he was enthusiastic and honored by the opportunity to promote the growth of our Club, compared L’Aquila to Rovigo for the warmth of the public and the rugby culture and said he was ready to start working”, concludes the note.
