F1 GP Imola, Sainz: “Ferrari, we hope to put on a show”

“We hope to have some progress during this weekend, and also experience it as a rider Ferrari it’s very beautiful. The improvements will depend on the track. Miami was a suitable circuit for our car, which was different in Suzuka and China. I hope that Imola can be suitable for the car, in such a way as to give a show to our public.” These are the words of Carlos Sainz junior during the drivers’ press conference on the eve of the weekend Imola for the Emilia Romagna GP.

“There is certainly still a lot to improve, in order to adapt the car to tracks where we found ourselves in difficulty due to curves and other characteristics” added Sainz. The Spaniard also confirmed that there is still no news on his future: “2025? When I have news I will give it myself, there is still a lot of time and there is no reason to speed things up too much”.

Norris speaks

Also at the press conference was the winner of the Miami test, Lando Norris. The Englishman hopes to repeat himself in Italy too, but he knows it won’t be easy against Red Bull and Ferrari: “The victory in Miami? I celebrated adequately, obviously now a new weekend awaits me. I’m ready to start again, but I’m still thinking about the victory of the last race. I hope I can replicate that success, a fantastic race weekend that I will remember for all our lives. The updates? We are suitable as a car for the Imola circuit. It is a track that has given us a lot of satisfaction in the past as a team. We have confidence in our work and in the progress we can make every weekend, in Miami I also had a bit of luck with the Safety Car. Now we need something more if we want to challenge Ferrari and Red Bull more consistently in the future, we are currently the third force championship”.
