Twenty-sixth and final day of the national Serie B2 championship for Bonprix TeamVolley, on Saturday evening against the almost homonymous Guffanti Group Milano Team Volley. First service at 8.30pm at the “Puecher” Center in via Dini, southern outskirts of the Lombardy capital.
Coach Fabrizio Preziosa comments thus: «The season ends, the last act is staged. We prepared the match like any other: the last two goals of the season are seventh place in the standings and surpassing the club record for points in the category, which we have already equaled. These are the prerequisites, we must maintain high attention, precision and the quality of our game. The day doesn’t count, the salvation already achieved doesn’t count: we want to end with a victory. It would give further value to our path in the championship. We will try to be ready. We don’t know what type of opponent we will be facing, because Milan was arithmetically relegated last Saturday. They may be very angry and determined to end well, just as they may be disappointed and bitter. There is a double aspect, two sides of the coin. We will have to do our part and express the maximum of our qualities and performance. Regardless of the opponent, we finish as we should.”
Setter Alessia Masserano added: «We have reached the last match of the season, which we will play away from home and against a team that, despite everything, will try to finish their journey with a victory, in any way. Even considering the general tiredness at the end of a long championship, we don’t want to give up and we intend to give our best in this match. We will try to achieve the objectives we have set for ourselves, together with the technical staff. Since we are already safe, we will enter the field without anxiety and without fear of making mistakes, but with the aim of playing “at our best”.
