Interviewed by Matteo Gandini and Pierluigi Pardo in the “DAZN Got Game” vodcast, Michele Vitali took stock of the situation at UNAHOTELS Reggio Emilia: “We are fine, on Sunday we won an important match and we managed to obtain the arithmetic qualification for the playoffs . We are very happy because we were there all year, but it’s just a moment, you make a misstep and then maybe you risk leaving. We managed to take that last little step and now we are preparing as best we can for the final phase of the season. The top four certainly had a great championship, it fills us with pride to be there among the top 8 and close to the top four. It was nice because it was a journey of growth, made up of mistakes, of restarts, because we had a moment when we weren’t very solid away. But we have always moved forward so we are really happy and now we want to try to get some more satisfaction.”
Vitali also spoke about coach Priftis: “It was a discovery because I had only played against him once when he coached in Kazan. I learned to know him from scratch and, in my opinion, he is very good because he knows how to touch the right buttons, he knows how to make people understand what he wants and he also knows how to adapt to the qualities of the players. I think this is a very important quality for a coach, it gives us a lot of confidence and in any case his excellent career speaks for him, he has coached great clubs.”
