AstraZeneca aims for $80 billion in revenue by 2030 – Breaking news

AstraZeneca aims to reach total revenue of $80 billion by 2030, up from $45.8 billion in 2023. The new goals were announced by the company.

AstraZeneca plans to achieve this goal through significant growth in its current portfolio of oncology, biopharmaceutical and rare disease products and the launch of 20 new medicines by the end of the decade. To drive sustained growth beyond 2030, the Company will continue to invest in new technologies and transformative platforms that will shape the future of medicine.

AstraZeneca will maintain its “strategic commitment to research and development, while focusing on productivity across the company, to increase operating leverage and enable it to achieve its ambition of a core operating margin of approximately 30 percentage points by 2026” , is written in a note.

Beyond 2026, core operating margin will be impacted by portfolio evolution and the company will target a rate of at least mid-30s.
