Countdown to the “Vasco Ronde“, Saturday 4 May, uphill time trial cycling race for road bicycles organized within the ACSI body to which the Association of Monastero Vasco – Mov-Va Bike is affiliated, but open to all bodies promoting the practice of competitive and non-competitive cycling.

“It’s a second edition, in theory– explain the organizers – but in practice it is a first edition because, last year, the event was canceled due to bad weather; so we try again in the hope that, as they say, “God sends us good luck”.

This is a new formula for the province of Cuneo because the competitors will face two consecutive climbs following a route that will take them to cycle from Niere through the Bertolini woods and then descend to La Villa up to Roapiana and end at the Church of San Lorenzo, above the houses of Vasco in a panoramic position over the city of Mondovì.”

THE PROGRAM

The meeting is scheduled for 1.30 pm at the “Locanda di Don Chisciotte”, from the sports facilities in via Roapiana where runners will be able to register for just 15 euros, collect the number to apply to the bicycle together with the specific race regulations, which they will have to read carefully, as it is something new.

At the end of the race, ASD Monastero Vasco makes the showers of the sports facilities available to runners; a service that never occurs in other races on the same calendar.

The top five in the category rankings will be rewarded with products exclusively from the Montreal area, in order to also promote the gastronomic and typical quality of the place.

A special prize will be awarded to the best classified ASD MO.VA BIKE athlete.

The race route is already marked out by yellow-black arrows, to give those who want it the opportunity to carry out a reconnaissance in advance.

The competition is part of the ACSI 2024 provincial mountain championship promoted by the Cuneo Cycling Coordination Center which reports to the President Marco Bersezio and sees Vittorio Bongiovanni as coordinator and main animator.
