After the admission of the nine-time MotoGP world champion about his past as a Doria fan, the Sampdoria club invites the Doctor to Marassi: the official message from Andrea Pirlo
Not even time to celebrate the Scudetto won by Inter, which Valentino Rossi could rediscover his old love for the Blucerchiati colours. In fact, the official invitation to Marassi from the club did not take long to arrive Sampdoria to Vale, who just a few hours ago had admitted to having supported Doria as a child, before embracing the Nerazzurri.

“I have been an Inter fan since 1998, but when I was young I was a Sampdorian… when I was little. Then, in 1998, Ronaldo the Phenomenon arrived at Inter and I became very passionate about football. From that moment on, I went to see them at San Siro many times and, from there, I am very, very Inter fan”, like this Valentino Rossi he spoke about his Nerazzurri faith during an interview given to Sky Sports on the occasion of the twentieth championship won by the “Simone Inzaghi band”.
Sampdoria’s appeal to Valentino
The admission about the Sampdoria passion as a child did not, however, go unnoticed and, thus, the Sampdoria took the opportunity and sent a special message to the nine-time MotoGP world champion. In fact, a message appeared on the official social channels of the Dorian club video appeal entrusted to Mister Andrea Pirlo. “Hi Valentino, we have a message for you…”.

With lots of Blucerchiati shirt number 46 personalized “Valentino” in hand, the Blucerchiati coach launched his invitation: “Hi Vale, since you said you were a Sampdoria fan first love is never forgotten. We are waiting for you in Marassi to watch one of our games.” Among the very numerous like also that of the former coach of the 2020 European champion Italy and Doria legend, Roberto Mancini.
Vale could celebrate twice
All that remains is to wait for the Doctor’s responsewhich is also taking away some satisfaction in the WEC 2024. Currently eighth in the standings, after a complicated start under the leadership of the former Juventus coach, Sampdoria is in full fight for the playoffs which could offer a return to the top league after just a year of purgatory in Cadetteria. Who knows, after Inter’s Scudetto, this year Vale could even celebrate twice… maybe right at Marassi with the Sampdoria scarf around his neck.
