COATI WOMEN’S LIBERATION Km: 96 Laps: 16
The women’s competition, which opens the dance on the morning of 25 April (departure at 9am), this year benefits from the category change from 1.2 to 1.1, which opens the doors to professionals and attracts even more participants from abroad. A first important consequence is participation of the UAE, World Tour team in which great friends Silvia run Perch and Chiara Consonniwho scored a splendid double in the Valcar jersey at Liberazione 2022.
Also competing will be the team with which the two-time European champion Silvia Zanardi triumphed last year: the Bepink. Just as the girls of the are ready to do battle Top Girls Fassa Bortolo, main antagonists of last year’s winner. The other Italian Continentals at the start are theAromitalia Vaiano (with the eternal Lithuanian Leleyvite, twice on the podium here in the last decade), the Mendelspeckthe BTC Ljubljana Zhirafthe K2 (heir to the GB Team) and the Isolmant Premac Vittoria of Giovanni Fidanza, plus three amateur clubs: Corridonia, Pro Cycling Team Fanini and the newborn Horizons.
As regards the foreign presence, representatives from all over Europe and other continents are expected in Rome: the French Komugi Grand Eastthe British Alba Developmentthe Portuguese Matos Mobilitythe Australian St Kilda and Mexican Monex.
They will also be at the start National Ukraine and the WCC Women Teama UCI project that welcomes male and female athletes from contexts where it is more difficult to cycle with the right means, like the sisters Hashimi who found refuge in Italy from Afghanistan three years ago.
BIKE 4 FUN
There Pedaling of the gift and the donors it will be even more exciting than in the past because, two hours before the start of the key Under 23 race, it will allow participants to cycle in a group on the same path as the Liberazione, therefore totally immersed in history: Baths of Caracalla, Aurelian Walls, Pyramid of Cestius, Circus Maximus bordering the Colosseum. It will be a day full of fun and solidarity. Also at the start are 500 students from Roman institutes involved by the organizers.
U23 LIBERATION Km: 138 Laps: 23
At 2pm on 25 April, after the prize-giving ceremony for the women’s race, and once the Bike 4 Fun participants have returned to base, the historic Under 23 Liberation Grand Prix will start. A one-of-a-kind competition, open to any outcome for the conformation of the route, full of small slopes and tight curves that are difficult to interpret. The reigning champion Alessandro Romele was absent MBH Colpack Ballan he will try to defend the title with his new recruits, including a son and grandson in Edoardo Cipollini. The spotlight, however, will be focused above all on VF Group Bardiani Csf FaizanèU23 emanation of the Reggio Emilia Professional team led by a “big” like Alessandro Pinarello and which will also count on a Lorenzo Conforti who circled Liberation on the calendar.

Further foreign amateur teams will be another Danish one like the Give Steelanother Polish girl like her Bialinianother Mexican (albeit based in San Marino) like the Monex, which in 2023 launched Isaac Del Toro, now Tadej Pogacar’s wingman on the World Tour; then the Monkwith runners from all latitudes, the Anglo-Italian Zappi Racing and the 100% British Project One.
Among the Italian clubs, however, expected Hopplà Petroli Firenze, Trevigiani Marchiol, Tripetetolo, Arvedi, Aran Cucine, Onec, Solme Olmo, Rostese, Sissio Team, Avezzano and the newborn team bike Sicily. Without forgetting the national selections of Austria and Slovenia they will bring the best youth of the two countries to the Eternal City.
At the start there will be 35 teams for a total of 175 riders, ready to liven up the center of Rome again with the magical buzz of their bicycles!

YOUTH COMPETITIONS
After the intermission day of the amateur race, Saturday 27th the grand finale of the 77th GP Liberazione will be the “youth triptych” which will start in the morning (9.30 am) with Junior Liberation Knight (Km: 90 Laps: 15) event of growing prestige in the international calendar of the category, still sponsored by the cycling manager and appreciated retailer of cycling items Clemente Cavaliere, a man dedicated to the growth of this sport in the Centre-South who pursues his ideal also by supporting this event.
In pole position are Cavaliere’s team, CPS, and that of Claudio Terenzi, organizer of Liberazione, the Veleka team which flies the Czech flag and fields kids of multiple nationalities. Also worthy of note is Monex, who after having raced two days earlier with both the Under 23 and women’s teams, will complete the hat trick by participating in the Junior test!
How can we not mention prestigious companies such as Borgo Molino, with Andrea Montagner who will be looking for a sensational encore after last year’s success, and many other protagonists of the Italian youth scene such as Pool Cantù, Contri Autozai, Fratelli Giorgi, Aspirators Otelli, Il Pirata Vangi and Coratti.
In the afternoon, a magnificent corollary of the three days with the DPiù Pupil Liberation (12.30 pm – Km: 60 Laps: 10) and the Co.Re.Ma.3 Beginners’ Liberation (3.30pm – Km: 30 Laps: 6 [percorso da 5km]).
And i Very young? They will have already had their moment on the opening day of Thursday 25th: Short track mountain bike during the women’s race in the morning, Gymkhana on asphalt during the men’s Under 23 race in the afternoon.
